In this updated Energy Master Plan (EMP), the Christie Administration affirms its commitment to the renewable energy portfolio standard (RPS) of 22.5% of energy from renewable sources by 2021, and aspires to fulfill 70% of the Stateメs electric needs from モcleanヤ energy sources by 2050. The Christie Administration supports the Board of Public Utilities' (BPU) due diligence process to safeguard the economic interests of ratepayers while promoting job creation and environmental benefits associated with offshore wind. The BPU is confident that the target objective of 1,100 MW of offshore wind generation by the end of 2012 is achievable.
