New Jersey Offshore Wind Economic Development Act (OSWEDA) (PL 2010, C. 57)

The law directs the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to establish an offshore wind renewable energy certificate (OREC) program to support at least 1,100 MW of generation from qualified offshore wind projects. The law authorizes the NJ Economic Development Authority (EDA) to provide up to $100 million in tax credits for qualified wind energy facilities in wind energy zones.
