Description:
Under the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities' (BPU) final rules, offshore wind projects must demonstrate positive economic and environmental net benefits to the State. The cost-benefit test is based on three factors: (i) positive and negative impacts on New Jerseyメs electricity rates over the life of the project; (ii) impacts on New Jerseyメs economy through the creation of employment and other direct, indirect, and induced socioeconomic effects; and (iii) net environmental impacts ascribable to the project.
