Description:

The study considers potential environmental, user, and nautical conflicts, and electric system characteristics and policy in Maryland as they relate to the potential for offshore wind power development. The study concludes that by using existing, proven technology (monopile; 5 MW turbines) and accounting for various social, environmental, and nautical exclusion zones and conflict areas, Marylandメs available offshore wind resource could provide 67% of the stateメs electric load.
